If you’re a more experienced fly fisherman, you’ll appreciate the serene and well-maintained lake at Moorhen. If you’ve never fished before, Moorhen is an ideal place to get started. Our Fly Fishing Introduction Package gives beginners a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. For just £120 per person, you’ll receive a one-on-one, 4-hour lesson with one of our experienced instructors. The package includes rod hire and a 2 Fish Catch & Keep ticket, so you’ll have a chance to catch and keep your first fish. It’s a fun and rewarding way to discover the joys of fly fishing!
And don’t worry if you’re unsure of the process—we walk you through every step, from casting to reeling in your catch, and we’re there to offer advice whenever you need it.
No Time Limits, Just Enjoy Your Day
At Moorhen, we believe that fishing should be about enjoying the process, not racing against the clock. That’s why we offer no time limits on your fishing session. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to take your time learning the ropes or an experienced angler who wants to fish all day, we’re happy to accommodate you. Simply arrive from 8:00am, and you can fish until dusk or 7:00pm, whichever comes first.
We also offer a Credit System, meaning if you don’t catch your limit during the day, you can come back again to continue fishing for just £15. This ensures you have a stress-free experience, knowing you have a chance to come back and try again if needed.
